Field test on the elusive Bluegill. They voted "thumbs up". Might get a chance to annoy some Brookies with it in a few days.

Wow! I am always on the lookout for a good Bluegill pattern and yours seems wonderful! I really like the look of the body of this fly and the hackle is first rate! How has it done on your B.G's? Have they given it their stamp of approval?

I can certainly understand why the 'gills like this pattern -- it's tremendous!

It's been top hot for bluegills if you can believe that. But this makes me want to get out and last some spiders in the film. I really like the gold silk with this combo. It should all just melt in the water. Nice pic too.
