That wrapped wire body and the rib on top should let that fly down through the water fairly quick. Good for deep laying pool fish and more subtle than a big ole beadhead. :D

Gig, this is one of my favorite style flies for winter and early spring when getting low is essential. It's like nymphing but, but livelier and just feels better. This wrap and rib style works great with two colors of wire as well. Great pattern.

Yes depth and colour were considered/ I love the combination of red and copper, both attractors. Here is another another combination I like, copper and peacock.
