Guttermann Thread/ Tup's Indistructable

Post by fflutterffly » Sat Dec 08, 2012 6:47 pm

I wanted to begin tying the Tups fly but didn't have the primrose in Pearsall. My local fabric store carries Gutermann silk thread and Mettler. I purchased Gutermann 416 thinking it might match. I looked up the color on my smart phone for reference. Is this color close? Also, I picked up some Metter silk-Fiber #0961.

I am unsure, not having to samples to compare. But if it were me....... I'd say use what you've got! Unless you are set in stone at trying to reproduce an original or as close to it as you can I would just use what you think is right or going to suit your pattern. :)
