I decided to do some research on Peacock patterns in Andrew Herd's Trout Fly Patterns 1496-1916 V2.
I came across this simple little fly from William Shipley's A True Treatise on the Art of Fly-fishing, Trolling, Etc, 1838 and just had to tie some first.
Directions:
Peacock herl for body; a blueish-dun hackle for legs. To be dressed with greenish Pomona silk.
