Brassie and Hen

Post by William Anderson » Thu Mar 17, 2011 11:40 pm

Here's another wire body soft-hackle. I just can't help but think that brassies are great, and bringing it to life with a soft-hackle can only improve the pattern. Again, if you have to get a fly down quick, or if the water is murky, these are very handy.

Oh boy! That is about as pretty a brassie as I can ever remember seeing, and the wire winding technique is very clever.

Dub-Ya, Howdy;

Pretty, shiney, an well tyed (to my uneducated eye), How'd you do the double wrap? make like a loop in the wire then wind them both?

Anyone that spent time in the military will tell you.... less brass means less brighwork to polish :lol: :lol:
