This is a nice subtle coordination of colors and materials. Makes for a cohesive pattern that will be alive like a wild man either in the current or teased in still water. How do you intend to fish this one? I can't imagine a scenario where it wouldn't be effective. On a #14 makes for a great emerger pattern, but size it up and it would be a serious steelhead or salmon fly. Nicely put together.

If there is a top water hatch I will try drifting under the film, but I will dead drift and swing it most of the time.
also I am loving this grizzly soft hackle, it was cheap and so easy to work with.

Guys..............thinking of Steelhead....................HOLLY COW................were there ever some steelhead flies to see at the show out here. Bout half the tyers at the show were tying steelhead flies.............WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing stuff to see. John Shyewey gave me a fly and i also won his framed S.S. (signiture show fly, the one used for the promotion of the show on all the posters/programs, etc), in the big live auction. Actually it's two frames.....the show poster in one frame, and John's fly, the show pin, and show postcard, and flyer all in a second frame. $225 for the two frames as a set.
i been goin' just a bit nutz buying steelhead materials as well..............hehehehehehe :lol: :P :oops: :o :D ;)

live from Lewiston, Idaho 8-) today we're headed for the Salmon River...........

w'head, Howdy;

They are having a show at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City on the 1st & 2ed. of April.

Are you going to be home by then? If not would ya stop by?
It's an annual event. I'd forgott all about it till I heard an advertizement for it.
Last year I were p.o. 'cause I had to be in Ohio then.

This year I have an appointment with the VA Dr's. for the 1st. As it's 100 miles away I always try to combine trips when I can. :)

Hope this finds you doing well, \\/// (think Star Trek and Spock)....... :idea: :)
