FANTASTIC pattern.....beautiful tye.....KILLER work.
btw, at just a quick glance.....the hook looks like a Gamakatsu Bass (stinger) hook.....the B10S

You know, I think I'd fish that one for brookies, too: a char is a char for all o' that.

A question about the body: is that pearl Krystal Flash, and how many strands are you using? Also, do you varnish the body for durability?

It's not Krystal flash, it's from a spool,I'll post a pic of it tonite when I get home. I did add varnish to the tinsel as well, it doesn't hold in place well without it. Willow thanks again

Nice, FH. I like the second hackle used as the thorax. On a hook that size I guess you have a lot of room to play. This is nice. I need to tie up a box of steelhead flies. The proportions of this seem like a good start for me.

Thanks Will, when I began tying this fly I was going to palmer the grizzly hackle down the length of the hook over the tinsel, then I noticed it would make a nice thorax, so I stripped off the materials and started over and this is what I came up with.

That's nice fishhead. I really like the tinsel bodies and the varnish over them really makes them pop. The grizzly palmered lightly over and then secured with a tinsel or wire rib would look amazing too and still let some of the sparkle show through.
