Very nice Ray. I have to say 20 is the smallest I've been brave enough to try here. If it needs to be smaller than that it's just not happening!

Carl - you are right about the name. Maybe REE can help me fix it to avoid confusion. Sorry. Thanks!

Old Hat - you have your Sly's mixed up. Sly (and his family - Stone) are musicians, still performing, I think.
I like the idea of red thread on that pattern, I'll give it a try.

I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Ray,
I have no idea what to fix in your posts. I see some folks are having a problem spelling Syl's name, but not you.

C.C., Sly IS still performing...........which is a "Stone" cold miracle, trust me.....
He use to rehearse at S.I.R. ("sorry i rented", what everybody called it, lol) Studio Instrument Rentals in S.F. when i worked there in......round '79/'80.........He has a brand new CD out actually. i recently saw him on the Travis Smiley show on T.V., while we were stayin' in some hotel somewhere. Looks exactly like he always did too.....same laugh, same everything........ah well, i really don't know...........rotflmao........thass the miracle part.

Ray,
Excellent tying! Your patterns and photo's are stunning as always! I am glad to hear that you are going thru the book "Immitations" in the wonderful trilogy that Syl had put out. Immitations is by far the best of the three! After you read a chapter or two, you want to crank out a few and head for the nearest water. He really made pattern design and the testing of each alot of fun. His enthusiasm is contageous. He is missed by everyone on this forum and wherever people gather by the water to fish for trout.
It's very hot out these days. Ray, your patterns are a cool drink of water in this stinking heat wave that is sitting over us. Great work friend!
Kinda sweaty right now,
Dougsden

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.
