Small caddis soft hackle

Post by Johnno » Mon Jun 11, 2012 3:31 am

Just whipped it up today: No name but I kinda like it. Its mid winter and cold here. Shortest day almost upon us. This reminds me of warm summer evenings fishing into the setting sun with a glass rod and a team of small wets

Hook: Of choice #14
Thread: Fire Orange
Tag: Pearl Mylar
Body: light dubbing of a mix of tan possum and Hends Spectra rust
Hackle. No idea. Was given a neck with a lovely tan brown feather a while back so used that :)

Really nice fly. I fished a couple similar and they produced very well. I especially like the dubbing blend here.
