I am thinking about using midge tubing with different colored Krystalflash or wire to make those wing pads. There is alot of possibility with this application. Well done!

Ray, that was the idea behind that last one, it will probably join the fly boxes here and be used.
Thanks for the encouragement Donald.
Wayne, woo-hoo! My battle is won,
If I can get just one other to think outside the square and have a go wityh these odd creations then I have achieved all I set out to do. Make sure you post your variations.

Thanks for the encouragement Donald.

Those last two flies are truely amazing, they look so alive, really imaginative fly tying:)
Life is good, why waste it.

Yes I like the last two especially.
I used to use this type of tubing for extended body dries. Microfibbets in one end for tails. A little trick I learned from Shane Stalcup was to heat a pair of toothy forceps and crimp them onto the tubing while still hot. They will form a beautifully segmented body by slightly melting the tubbing. When I saw those first flies I though how nice it might look to try this technique on the tubing before sliding it on the hook.
We do have ($1) stores and you can find it there at times. At least on west side of the country.

I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.
